I Choose to become a Doctor, Because I want To Save Lives
When we are little, we have aspirations to be someone important when we grow up. Some shoot very high and they want to be the next president of the United States or someone in political office. They want to that in order to feel that they can change the world with their opinion and votes. Other strive to be in a different role that will help them serve their communities more closer as in being a firefighter, police person or even in the medical field of some sort. Every profession has its satisfaction that it will bring to the heart and soul of the person that is performing those duties. Most people do want to grow up and be a doctor because they want to be able to save lives.
There are different doctors out there assigned to perform different duties. It is very hard for one person to be able to perform and take care of all aspects of the human body. Now there are some that have the knowledge, patience and determination to be able to do so, which can land them a career in any aspect. Medical doctors are there in a just in case kind of way. If you are ill, have some life threatening emergency or just need your annual check up, they are there to assist you.
If you encounter some sort of major injury, you will be recommended to a specialist that can take care of you and your needs. The list is a mile long of the different physicians that have a wealth of knowledge in their field. From anything from ankle pain to constant migraines, there is a trained medical doctor that is able to help determine what is going on. Depending on the symptoms and the diagnosis, you might need a more in depth procedure in which a surgery could be involved. Surgeons are medical doctors that perform surgeries. They are generally defined as doctors that actually cut into the body in order to help aid the body in its healing process. For many years, surgeries have been performed and many new treatments discovered. Surgeries are considered to be the last method of helping a person if medicines or other treatments fail.
In the medical field, you will see that not only the doctors are the ones helping you out when you need some. If the procedure is not major such as your monthly or yearly check ups, you will see medical practitioners who are just as capable of helping you in your time of need. You will usually see these medical officials more in the general field and will be in the same office as your regular family doctor. They are licensed and trained to diagnose any problem that you may have and recommend you to a specialist that might be able to help you further. They could also give you a prescription and handle all of the paperwork necessary in the field. Some people frown when their regular doctor is not available and they have to see the practitioner. The only difference is that they might not know your history intimately as your family doctor, but they are more than qualified to assist you until you are able to see your primary doctor.
No matter what field you go into if being a doctor is on your life path. Know that every minute you spend studying and practicing medicine through school and finally when you are out, you have the potential to save a life of someone you do not know, but will always be eternally grateful.
